Westport musician Matt Rowley will be debuting the video for his latest single ‘Worlds Apart’ in Westport tomorrow, Thursday, April 4.
The launch will kick off in Matt Molloy’s pub on the town's Bridge street at 8pm.
The Westport singer-songwriter will have his full band with him on the night, and they will play exclusive new tracks from his debut album arriving this summer.
The track was written during the Covid lockdowns and was inspired by ‘the grip that social media and phone technology has on all of us, not only on teenagers, but like adults alike’.
The accompanying music video was shot by Director and Cinematographer Ian CJ Ryan.
Rowley told The Mayo News: “We were shooting the video and saying ‘let's pretend you're hooked to your phone and on the phone no matter what’, and sure what was everyone doing while waiting for the camera’s to roll-everyone was on the phone! It’s ironic”.
If you fancy some 80s inspired synth wave alt-rock music, pop in to celebrate.
