Croí, the Heart and Stroke Charity, extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Kavanagh Group for their unwavering support and commitment in raising an astounding €83,000 since the inception of their partnership.

The Kavanagh Group, comprising sixteen supermarkets across Ireland and the UK, has been a dedicated ally in the mission to promote heart health and stroke prevention. The Kavanagh Group's stores located in Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal have played a pivotal role in supporting Croi's initiatives.

The Kavanagh Group has demonstrated their commitment to Croí through various avenues, including actively participating in events and fundraisers. The Kavanagh Group organised a virtual Night Run across all stores, showcasing their adaptability and determination to support the cause. This event was just one example of their dedication to the community's well-being.

Notably, the Kavanagh Group has established the annual Kavanagh's Colour Run, which takes place every September in Westport. This vibrant and lively family centred event, now in its third year, not only promotes community engagement but also raises vital funds for Croí Heart and Stroke Charity.

In addition to events, the Kavanagh Group actively engages in fundraising efforts within their stores. They conduct collections, sell raffle tickets and Christmas cards. These initiatives have not only contributed to the significant funds raised but have also increased awareness about cardiovascular health.

“We are immensely grateful to the Kavanagh Group for their outstanding dedication and continuous support. Their commitment to our cause has played a crucial role in our ability to make a positive impact on heart health and stroke prevention,” said Christine Flanagan, Director of Fundraising at Croí.

The funds raised by the Kavanagh Group have made a substantial difference in Croí's ability to carry out essential programs and initiatives. As Croí look forward to another busy year, providing lifesaving services throughout communities, Croí would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Kavanagh Group for their philanthropic efforts and dedication to making a lasting impact on the cardiovascular health throughout their communities.

“The Kavanagh Group are delighted to be able support such a worthy Charity and will continue to do so into the future. This would not have been possible without the incredible efforts and contributions by our colleagues within the group, a huge heartfelt appreciation and thanks to all involved,” said Noel Kavanagh Jnr, Managing Director.
