The 24-year-old has made it to the show's live final
A Love Island contestant with Mayo roots has made the show's final.
24-year-old Toby Aromolaran has been in the South African villa for the past five weeks, and tonight, will be in with a chance of winning £50,000 in tonight's live final.
Toby Aromolaran’s mother, Victoria, is from Crossmolina, and the reality star has often shared his Mayo connections with his 900,000 social media followers.
He joined his Irish Mammy on a trip to County Mayo shortly after his original appearance on the ITV dating show in 2021, where he shared a photo of them, posing in front of a Crossmolina sign, to his 900,000 followers captioned: ‘Me & Mumzy back at her roots!’.
In the ‘meet the parents’ episode toward the end of the show’s seventh season, viewers noticed Victoria’s 'twang'. Shortly after, Aromolaran took to social media to say he was ‘surprised’ viewers were unaware of his Irish heritage, as he said he talked about it numerous times while in the villa, however, it wasn’t aired.
Making it to the final of Love Island is nothing new to the Hashtag United player, having finished second place with then girlfriend Chloe Burrows three years ago.
Not dissimilar to his last stint on the show, the Essex native has provided viewers with buckets of entertainment. From a turbulent start, rocking the villa with his out-of-the-blue recoupling choice, he has provided many shocks and gasps over the past five weeks.
Tonight, he and partner Georgia Steel are amongst five couples in the running to be crowned winners of the first ever ‘All-Star’ rendition of the popular show.
The ‘Love Island: All Stars’ live final will air tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two, with Molly Smith and Tom Clare firm 4/5 favourites to win the show.
