Local Enterprise Week takes place March 4-8
Mayo County Council have announced 12 events as part of local enterprise week 2024.
Local Enterprise Week is an initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices nationwide, supported by Enterprise Ireland and the local authorities, and takes place from March 4-8.
Small businesses and budding entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to sample the events, with an aim to help them to start or grow their business.
Speaking ahead of Local Enterprise Week, John Magee, Head of Enterprise for Mayo County Council said the events taking place cover ‘exporting and digital to going green or growing that idea’.
There are hundreds of events taking place nationally during the week, including doing business in Northern Ireland, business website consultations, future market trends, and signature events with both Ballina and Castlebar Chambers of Commerce.
Two free online National Spotlight events, which feature ‘experts from a range of industries’. The first, ‘Understanding and leveraging future trends for your business’ takes place on March 6, and the second on March 7, focusing on the area of sustainability, ‘Sustainability imperative for business success’.
“There is something for everyone and those who maybe always had that ambition to start on their own, or a great idea, this is the week to see how to get started and make it happen” said Mr Magee.
The two National Spotlight events are open to everyone and can be accessed online. Each of the 31 Local Enterprise Offices will be running a full programme of events in their area that will tackle a variety of areas relevant to small businesses and starting up.
The events are open to all from budding entrepreneurs to established businesses and gives them the opportunity to get expert advice on key areas of business from financial skills, raising funds, exporting, and boosting your business online to future trends such as sustainability and digitalization.
Details for all events taking place during Local Enterprise Week are available on Local Enterprise’s website.
