Mayo County Council open applications of funding for General Municipal Allocation

Mayo County Council is inviting applications for funding under the General Municipal Allocation (GMA) Funding 2024. The applications opened on Tuesday, January 9.

Applications are being accepted under the following headings which include residents associations, clubs and organisations, festivals and events and burial grounds.

Funding applications will be considered for activities or projects which promote directly or indirectly the social, economic, environmental, recreational, cultural, community or sporting development of the Mayo area.

Preference will be given to projects which are community based and demonstrate that they have or can attract matching funding.

The funding will be administered by each of the four Municipal Districts in the county: Ballina, Castlebar, Westport-Belmullet and Claremorris-Swinford.

The closing date for applications is Friday, February 2, 2024 at 4.30pm and application forms are available from the links below or by contacting the Municipal District offices.
