Skin-care specialist Bernie Fahy looks at how to treat acne and wrinkless, which can both be triggered by stress
Fighting acne and wrinkles
Bernie Fahy
When dealing with acne and wrinkles, target the acne first. Acne is an autoimmune disease and reveals so much about your life. Thus acne is telling us we need to relax more, and change eating habits thoughts emotions and environment. It can be triggered in pregnancy or teenage years, often stemming from a hormonal influence or bacterial infection.
About Acne Around 70 per cent of the immune system is located in the bowels. Healthy bowels are essential to healthy skin. If the bowels are not functioning properly, then waste cannot leave the body. As a result, waste will leave through the skin and this can cause causing infection and irritation. Tension will reduce your immune system and weaken your defences. Foods can improve your skin, especially if they are high in zinc, essential fatty acids, vitamin A, fruits and olive oil. All of these can have a beneficial effect on the skin. It’s important to have a consultation and discuss your skin concerns, to prevent further re-infection and scarring. Daily exercise keeps your muscles and intestines toned, which keeps regularity.
Less wrinkles Once you control your acne, you will instantly feel so much better and will have less wrinkles to focus on. Wrinkles are caused by stress, and the collagen of the skin breaking down. Diet plays a major role and the foods to treat acne are also of benefit. I recommend wild salmon and flax seed oil to keep wrinkles at bay along with moisturising and nourishing the skin. Making your carrier oil for home use, mix jojoloa oil with rose oil to benefit both wrinkles and acne and restore skin to vitality.
