STATESIDE?Trad musicians Éadaoin Ní Mhaicín and Alannah Thornburgh are off to America.

Two young Mayo musicians are preparing to depart to the United States as part of the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann tour of North America this month.
Éadaoin Ní Mhaicín from Castlebar Comhaltas and Alannah Thornburgh from the Michael Davitt branch of CCÉ in Swinford are among an elite group of traditional musicians who are heading to the United States for a series of concerts in the eastern United States.
Éadaoin and Alannah are no strangers to the concert circuit having already toured Ireland and the United Kingdom with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann. They are both excellent ambassadors for their branches, their county and indeed for their country and have both excelled at All-Ireland level at Fleadhanna Cheoil.
Éadaoin, Alannah and the entire tour party are playing a farewell concert in the Cultúrlann in  Monkstown, Dublin on Sunday, October prior to their departure. This should be a concert not to miss.
