
The burst water main is impacting Carraholly in Westport
Irish Water crews in Mayo are working to address supply issues to Westport customers in the wake of a burst water main in the town this morning.
The incident occurred on a pipe in the Carraholly area of the town, leading to disruptions to the local water supply.
Crews from Irish Water are currently addressing the issue, with repairs anticipated to be completed by the afternoon.
The Operations Manager and Irish Water, Colette Scahill, addressed the effect of the outage in a statement this morning.
"We acknowledge the impact of an unplanned outage for our customers, and we wish to assure impacted homes and businesses that every effort is being made to fix the burst and restore normal supply as soon as possible," she stated.
