Minister Alan Dillon will launch a major national recycling campaign in Castlebar, Mayo. The Minister of State will unveil the initiative Repak ‘Members in the Community’ on Friday, March 27, at 11.30 am at Intersport Elverys, marking Global Recycling Day.
The campaign aims to highlight the work of more than 3,500 Repak member companies in supporting recycling efforts and promoting sustainable packaging solutions across Ireland.
It will showcase how businesses are helping to reduce waste, improve recyclability and contribute to the country’s transition towards a circular economy.
The Castlebar launch places Mayo at the centre of the national initiative, underlining the role of local businesses and communities in driving environmental change.
Attendees at the event will include Zoe Kavanagh, CEO of Repak, along with representatives from Intersport Elverys.
The campaign is expected to run nationwide, highlighting positive examples of how Irish companies are contributing to environmental sustainability at a local level.
