Met Éireann has issued a status yellow wind warning today (Tuesday, January 27) to counties across Ireland, including Mayo. The warning came into effect at 3 am this morning and will be in place until 11 pm.

Met Éireann has said that the winds associated with Storm Chandra will be very strong and gusty, particularly on coasts and exposed areas.
Possible impacts include fallen trees, loose debris, wave overtopping, and hazardous travel conditions.
