Mayo’s IKEA customers will be able to order with significantly less hassle, as the store launches their new ‘click and collect’ service in the county next month.
The service will mean that those who make purchases from the Swedish retailer will be able to order their flat-pack furniture to Castlebar Tesco’s car park.

Orders over €200 will be eligible for free collection. Orders which fall below the €200 threshold will require a delivery fee of €15.
The service was already on offer in three locations nationwide, however Castlebar is one of seven locations which forms part of a major extension to the service.
The move is a collaborative one, with Tesco stores being used as these ‘pick-up points.’

The Country Operations Manager for Tesco, Darrin Honer, sees this as a worthwhile move for both parties, attracting more people into Tesco stores,
“Some months into this partnership, we are seeing just how convenient this offering is for customers, who are pairing picking up their IKEA order with doing their weekly shop or picking up their ‘Click and Collect’ order," he stated.
