Uri Kohen aka DJ Dodgy will play the festival tomorrow and Sunday
A Westport DJ is set to play Electric Picnic.
Uri Kohen aka DJ Dodgy will play Ireland’s largest festival both tomorrow, Saturday, August 17, and another on Sunday, August 18.
After a couple of years of hiatus from the Stradbally festival, DJ Dodgy is returning to Trenchtown and joining forces with the Treasure Beach crew.
DJ Dodgy sets a full reggae beach party atmosphere with classic reggae and dubstep tunes, as well as reggae versions of classic hits from over the years.
Trenchtown is a cultural exchange encouraging its visitors to experience a unique fusion of Jamaican, African and Celtic roots and customs, with Treasure Beach providing white sand, palms trees and tropical cocktails.
The reggae DJ isn’t the only Mayo act that will play the festival this coming weekend, Ballina band Billow Wood are returning to the festival after a stellar Stradbally performance last year. They will hit the Hazelwood Stage on Sunday, August 18 from 4-5pm.
Many will know Mr Kohen as the founder, producer and director of the Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival, as well as the manager at Electric Cave production who book gigs and tours for international acts in both Westport, and nationwide.
You can catch DJ Dodgy at the festival during the following time slots:
Saturday, August 17, 12pm–2pm; Saturday, August 17, 8pm–9pm; and Sunday, August 18, 10am–12pm.
