NAMAWE has opened its flagship store in Westport
NAMAWE handmade herbal skincare and gift shop, has opened its doors in Westport.
Bringing heritage skincare products to the Wild Atlantic Way, NAMAWE is thrilled to unveil its flagship store in the heart of Westport.
With three years of growing business under its belt, today’s opening marks an exciting milestone for the brand as it expands its reach in Mayo and the West of Ireland.
NAMAWE is named for its cherished ethos, which translates to ‘Naturally Made in Westport’.
Nestled on Lower Peter Street in the heart of Westport’s Octagon, the store doubles as a retail store and a bustling workshop, where every balm, cream, oil, shampoo, and soap is lovingly handcrafted by skilled hands.
Founder Maria Mayorga couldn't be prouder of this momentous occasion saying the opening of the store in Westport ‘feels like coming full circle for NAMAWE’.
“I got my start here at the Westport Country Market and my business has grown because of the strong commitment to help people in the local community who suffer with skin ailments or sensitive skin. The Mayo community has supported us from the very start," explained Ms Mayorga.
NAMAWE's opening hours are designed with their customers in mind
The NAMAWE brand promotes the power of nature to nourish and rejuvenate, which is why their skincare range is formulated using only the finest local natural ingredients, often foraged.
NAMAWE doesn’t believe in complicated skincare routines but that the ancestral methods and ingredients are worth preserving.
Tallow is the active ingredient in all their products as it is abundant in Ireland and has been used by humans for over 2000 years.
NAMAWE’s best-selling product is their Dexter Tallow Balm. The balm is sourced completely in Ireland and made from 100% organic, edible ingredients to moisturise and soothe sensitive skin on the face, hands, or body.
Operating hours at the new store are designed with the rural rhythm in mind, Thursdays through Saturdays, from 11am-5pm allowing customers to drop by and experience the magic of NAMAWE at their leisure.
