DAY THREE is a notoriously difficult day for punters but Grey Dawning can get the day off to a flyer in the Turners for the Skeltons. He does have to reverse form with Ginny's Destiny on their run here in December but he looked to really be getting a hang of the jumping game at Warwick last time and he looks progressive.

The Ryanair looks one of the weaker Grade Ones this week, and if the ground dried out then Banbridge would take all the beating. But there is still plenty of cut in the surface so in that case I am willing to side with last year's Turners winner Stage Star.

He was pulled up on his last start here when he made a mistake at the last open ditch but up to that he had won his three previous chases at the course and he can give Paul Nicholls a badly needed big race win.

The ground again is key to the Stayers where Teahuppo should take all the beating. His odds are cramped now at around 6/4 but he really should have won this race last year, he comes here fresh and is still only a seven year old. Two time winner Flooring Porter should not be dismissed and looks value at a double figure price.

The undercard on Thursday again is providing plenty of value.

Nicky Henderson's horses are still very much under a of cloud but he will surely have a winner or two, and I think Hyland is overpriced in the Pertemps. His last run was over an inadequate trip so you can put a line through that. He won here over 3 miles back in October and looks to have a lovely racing weight and could go off a very big price.

My original fancy for the Plate Handicap was Letbeclearaboutit but he goes in the Turners so instead I will go with In Excelsis Deo from the Harry Fry yard, who looks very well handicapped and will like the soft going.

The Mares Novice Hurdle is one of the races of the week despite the fact the Dysart Dinos is now a non-runner. Jade De Grugy could be a supestar but slight preference is for the favourite Brighterdaysahead for Gigginstown and Gordon Elliott. She was a very expensive purchase but she hasn't put a foot wrong and looks like she could follow in the footsteps of Apple's Jade.

The Kim Muir is always a difficult race to figure out but Whacker Clan won nicely for Henry De Bromhead here back in October. He had a nice spin over hurdles in late February and looks to have been laid out for a crack at this.

TIPS

Grey Dawning – 1.30

Hyland – 2.10

Stage Star – 2.50

Teahupoo – 3.30

In Excelsis Deo – 4.10

Brighterdaysahead – 4.50

Whacker Clan – 5.10
