Local Operation Transformation leader Edel O'Malley gathered huge community support at Castlebar community's ‘Walk with Edel’ over this past weekend.
The local community got together to support their local leader Edel, who was revealed as one of the first of the leaders for this year's health and wellbeing drive from RTE’s Operation Transformation 2024.
"I am thrilled to be chosen to be a leader and hope to inspire some people along the way on their own journeys,” said O’Malley.
The walk set off from Lough Lannagh on January 28 despite challenging wind and weather conditions. The event, led by Mayo Sports Partnership, was a resounding success with over 50 enthusiastic participants.
Mayo Sports Partnership (MSP) is dedicated to promoting and developing sport and physical activity throughout Mayo. Through strategic partnerships and innovative programs, MSP aims to enhance the health and well-being of individuals and communities across the region.
