Ballyhaunis Town FC call for support after weather damage

Ballyhaunis Town F.C.

Last week's weather damaged the pitches boundary fence

Ballyhaunis Town FC have called for support after weather from Storm Isha and Jocelyn ‘reaked havoc’ on the club's facilities.

The pitch's boundary fence was severely damaged and urgently needs repair as having a boundary fence is a Mayo league requirement. Unfortunately for the east Mayo soccer club, their insurance doesn't cover storm damage.

With no regular income, membership, council funding, and the odd fundraising event is what is relied on to run the club.

The club ‘simply doesn't have the funds’ to replace/repair the fence, and they have set up a GoFundMe page.

They are appealing to the community to help the club in their efforts to mend the damage as their season is set to begin at the end of next month.
