Patients reminded of disruption due to works on new entrance to Castlebar hospital

MUH to get a new front door

The entrance to Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar

Mayo University Hospital will be getting a new entrance next week.

The hospital is advising patients and visitors that construction works to replace the front door will be commencing at the main entrance of the hospital from Monday 29 January, which will result in noise and some level of disruption. 

Patients are advised to continue using the main entrance, after initial works have been carried out a temporary entrance and exit will be installed via the current emergency exit beside the Aramark shop.

Signposting will be in place providing directions to the temporary entrance when it is operational.  

Hospital management have apologised for the disruption during these necessary works, which is expected to last a number of months.
