THE Cathair na Mart branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann is delighted to announce the return of Fleadh Cheoil Mhaigh Eo 2024 to Westport on May 11 and 12. As ever, the vibrant local committee are beavering away to ensure that this year’s Fleadh will be as successful as last year’s. The branch would like to take this opportunity to thank all the local businesses, venue providers and individuals who have been so supportive of Westport Comhaltas to date.
Hosting the Fleadh further promotes and raises the profile of Westport as a venue for all enthusiasts of Irish traditional culture which attracts hundreds of traditional musicians, singers and dancers together with their families.
The official press launch of Fleadh Cheoil Mhaigh Eo 2024 takes place on Tuesday next, January 16, at 8pm in The Wyatt Hotel. Music, song and dance and light refreshments will be available on the night.
