Westport based actor Keith Martin.
Westport based actor Keith Martin makes his Irish cinematic debut on Friday next, November 17 at the 2023 Cork Film Festival. He appears in a supporting role as both Barry and Gibbons in the time-leaping film 'Prospect House', which was filmed at Enniscoe House, Crossmolina in early 2022.
Starring Barry Ward, the film blurs the lines between real life and fiction as the story revolves around a group of protestors aiming to save an old house from demolition by filming a period re-enactment there. The film was written and directed by Paul Mercier.
'Prospect House' is Keith's second celluloid outing this year as he made his world debut at the Austin Film Festival in Texas in October where he supported Castlebar actor and comedian Ger Staunton in the black comedy, 'The Highest Brasil'. This film tells the tail of a struggling fisherman, who is unexpectedly offered the delicious pleasures of an unusual new life by a mysterious group of misfits.
Keith, who is a librarian by profession in his hometown, has previously appeared in an episode of 'The Hardy Bucks' and several short films. He also served as a town councillor on Westport Town Council before its abolition.
