An evening of songs of faith, hope and love will take place in Knock Bascilica on Friday, December 1. A host of stars will appear at the special event to help raise funds for the Victim Assistance charity which supports victims of crime and trauma in Ireland.
The concert will feature Margo, Philomena Begley, Donna Taggart, John McNicholl and Marc Roberts as well as Una Nolan and Schola Cantorum Basilicae. Tickets are priced at €30 and are available from ticketmaster.ie.
The Federation for Victim Assistance (known as Victim Assistance) is a national registered charity based in Kiltimagh. It offers emotional and practical support to all victims of crime and trauma and also supports the family members impacted by such events.
Among those supported by the charity are victims of domestic abuse, coercive control, elder abuse, hate crime, assault, rape,
scams, burglaries, racism, crimes against the LGBTQI community. Trauma can hit anyone in an instant and the charity's goal is to ensure the widest range of support possible is available.
Staff meet victims in their own home, or at a safe location. They work closely with the various Garda victim services throughout the country along with other charities/organisations to provide confidential support to victims.
