Mayo Sports Partnership is calling on the Mayo public to get out and 'be active' for European Week of Sport 2023 which runs from the September 23 to 30.
The week is for everyone, regardless of age, background or fitness level. With a focus on grassroots initiatives, the aim is to inspire Europeans to be active on a regular basis and create opportunities in peoples’ everyday lives to exercise more. The week is all about providing opportunities for everyone in Ireland to be active and to try something new.
Mayo Sports Partnership recently launched their Autumn Initiatives including Couch to 5k, swimming classes, activator poles, kayaking, Football for All and wheelchair basketball, along with the recent launch of their recent health and fitness suite of events for women over 40. If you are a club or organisation running a sporting event during European Week of Sport, be sure to register it on the Sport Ireland website www.sportireland.ie/europeanweekofsport.
