A DESIGN company run by a Westport native, Mr Jimmy Walsh was recently the recipient of a number of prestigious awards. Dara Creative, one of Ireland’s leading graphic design consultancies, received the top awards at the Irish Design Effectiveness Awards (IDEA) 2009.
Dara Creative received the Gold Award in the ‘Corporate Literature’ category of the IDEA Awards, for its work with Grosvenor Cleaning Services.
“Our creative team developed a series of new brochures for Grosvenor, which were instrumental in Grosvenor winning up to €2.8m worth of new client business”,  Jimmy Walsh said.
Dara Creative also received a Silver Award for its work with Campus.ie, which is this country’s largest independent third-level student website.
The company specialises in four pivotal areas of graphic design: branding, business development, bid support and website development.
The IDEA Awards, organised by Design Business Ireland, are an all-Ireland competition, which seeks ‘to reward those assignments that deliver measurable commercial benefits, and genuinely demonstrate the value of good design in all its forms’.
Last year Dara Creative also won an award at the Irish Print Awards for the Design of a Corporate Brochure for John Paul Construction.
