THE days of elbowing your way to the bar or waiting five deep in people to try to get a pint of stout may well be a thing of the past in Westport after Cosy Joe’s bar on Bridge Street became the first pub in the town to introduce self service ‘Pour your Own Pint’ tables.
Cosy Joe’s in association with Diageo Ireland are set to unleash a brand new experience in hospitality with the introduction of the service, ‘Pour Your Own Pint’ tables. Patrons to the bar are being encouraged to challenge themselves to pour their own perfect pint of Guinness or Carlsberg without having to get off the comfort of their bar stool.
Cosy Joe’s team will be at hand to show you through the ropes of pouring the perfect pint and bartender, Liam explained that they are excited about the new addition to the bar.
“I think these new units will be a fantastic addition to our pub. Their versatility will clearly be their biggest draw. There is nothing else like these tables in the town. If you’re planning any party, these highly interactive and very stylish tables will add a new dimension to any gathering. I don’t mean to sound corny, but I really think in-between the Guinness tap and the Carlsberg tap is a crystal ball because these tables are the future. I would really advise anyone to book early to avoid disappointment,” he said.
Liam also maintains that this simple idea will do away with the need to queue or spilling half your pint while trying to squeeze through the crowd.
“The tables are ideal for private parties such as stag-nights, hen or birthday celebrations or a simple afternoon lunch. They are situated beside the big screen projector, making them perfect for watching matches without leaving your seat.”
