A JUVENILE was arrested in Mayo General Hospital after he assaulted a number of Gardaí who were called to the scene after the youth became abusive. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon at 1.30pm in the Accident and Emergency department of MGH in Castlebar when the youth was receiving treatment. The person who is under 18 became abusive to staff and when Gardaí arrived he assaulted a number of gardaí before being arrested. He will be dealt with under the Juvenile Liaison Scheme. This is the third such incident to occur at A and E in Castlebar in the last month
