Gardaí in Westport are investigating a break-in at a private house in Lecanvey last week.

Gardaí in Westport are investigating a break-in at a private house in Lecanvey which occurred some time between Wednesday and Saturday last. A rear window of the house was smashed and a television and some bottles of wine were taken. The house was unoccupied at the time. Anyone with information should contact Westport Garda Station on 098 25555.
However there was better fortune for a homeowner in Partry last Friday, when two men were disturbed while acting suspiciously at a house in the Portroyal area of the village between 1pm and 2pm. Nothing was takenduring the attempted break-in.
