This Sunday, July 7, sees traditional beach horse racing return to Carrowniskey strand, near Louisburgh, from 2pm.
There will be ten races on the beach – two local races for horses and ponies and eight MHPRA (Midlands Horse and Pony Racing Association) races. An entertaining day for all ages – children will be catered for with a variety of entertainment, while adults can place a bet, have a beverage or dance with live music in the Marquee and/or keep up to date with the GAA Match on the televisions provided.
Have a bite to eat with the varied food stalls on the day while watching the races or even watch Power Kite demos taking place. There will also be raffle tickets on sale throughout the day for two pallets of kiln dried timber.
Finish the day with free entry to the race dance in P Dan’s, Killadoon, where music will be provided by Kieran White. The raffle draw will also take place on the night.
The Carrowniskey Races would like to extend its sincere thanks to all its sponsors and stewarts for their generosity in previous years, and for the up and coming 2019 Carrowniskey Races.
