CASTLEBAR man Justin Guthrie got an early Christmas present last week after winning €5,000 on 2FM.
Mr Guthrie correctly identified the voices of five celebrities after the competition ran for seven weeks waiting for a correct guess on the Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene.
The station plays each voice saying a word and links them all up to form a sentence. After over 500 wrong guesses, Guthrie rang in on Wednesday last and won the prize.
After Jenny Greene stated that ‘a nation holds its breath’, he identified the voices of singer Jason Derulo, TV personality Kat Von D, British writer and TV host Alexa Chung, influencer James Kavanagh and actress Octavia Spencer to claim the cash prize.
In a video posted on social media, radio presenter Jenny Greene can be seen to jump with excitement after it is announced Guthrie has correctly identified the voices, and others in the studio are ecstatic at the result.
After the result, Greene states “Justin you better have that jumper over your head,” to which he replied, “Wow, I don’t believe this, I never win anything.”
