Westport Gardaí are investigating an accident which left an 82-year-old man seriously injured.

ACCIDENT
GARDAÍ in Westport investigating a traffic accident which left an 82-year-old local man in a serious condition in hospital are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision.
The incident occurred near the bridge at Castlebar Street, Westport at 8pm on Saturday last, December 29, when the bicycle on which the elderly man was riding was struck by the car. The injured man was removed by ambulance to Mayo General Hospital, where his condition is described as critical. Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Westport Garda Station on 098 50230.
