Sandra Ganley, representing Kilmovee Comhaltas, was crowned the Mayo Rose of Tralee at the Mayo Rose Selection 2017, held in Claremorris Town Hall.
Sandra is 24 and from Ballaghaderreen. She is currently working as a primary school teacher and also has her own dance school called ‘Jiving Juniors’. The school has had 500 pupils in its first year and children and teens learn how to jive, waltz and line dance in a country music atmosphere. Sandra also has a huge grΡ for the Irish language, traditional music and dance, and so it is only fitting that she is representing Kilmovee Comhaltas. After a four year degree in the Irish World Academy studying music and dance, Sandra still performs and travels the world performing alongside her sister showcasing the Irish culture. Sandra said she thoroughly enjoyed the lead up to the Mayo Rose of Tralee Selection night and thanks everyone for their support.
