The Mayo Area Public Information Committee of Alcoholics Anonymous cordially invites you to an open public meeting of AA in Westport
The Mayo Area Public Information Committee of Alcoholics Anonymous cordially invites you to an open public meeting of AA in Westport. Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women and has well over 2 million members in approximately 170 countries worldwide.
Here in Mayo, there are 34 separate Groups that meet once or more each week. Alcoholics Anonymous is a programme of attraction rather than promotion, and members remain anonymous at public level.
Experience shows that even those with no drinking problem of their own, but who may have a relative or friend whose drinking is cause for concern, find the programme intensely interesting.
This open meeting will be held in Hotel Westport, Newport Road, Westport, on Thursday evening, March 3, at 7.45pm. Speakers from both Alcoholics Anonymous and the Al-Anon Family groups will be in attendance.
