Mayo airport first in the country to have its own TV channel

WE’VE all seen the various fly-on-the-wall documentaries over the years in which the day-to-day ups and downs of working in a busy airport are put in focus.
But the innovative brains in the Marketing Department of Ireland West Airport Knock has gone one step further and set up its very own TV channel.
Airport TV has just been launched and will broadcast the latest airport news as well as live events as they happen.
As Donal Healy, Marketing Manager of the airport explains, the aim of the channel is to offer an insight into the day-to-day operations of a major international airport.
“We are excited by the opportunities the channel can provide. We hope to have regular monthly features, which will include the travel experiences of passengers who use the airport; holiday reviews of our 21 international destinations and a showcase of our local food/gift producers and tourism providers from across the west of Ireland.
“We really hope that passengers will engage with the project, and we think it can be a great success.”
