A man was attacked in the early hours of Christmas Day in Ballinrobe by a group of five youths.
Man attacked on Christmas Day in Ballinrobe
A man in his thirties was assaulted and robbed in the early hours of Christmas Day in Ballinrobe.
The man, who has lived in the town for a number of years, was assaulted as he walked through the car park of St Mary’s Church in the town.
The assault took place between midnight and 1am and involved five youths, who stole an amount of cash from the man.
The man was taken to Mayo General Hospital after gardaí were notified about the incident.
It is understood he had no serious injuries.
