A newly married Mayo couple has amassed an impressive 33,000 hits on YouTube for their  take on Ant and Dec’s former gameshow Red or Black.
The new Mr and Mrs Rowland, Jonny, from Crossmolina, and Ballina resident Shelly (McDonagh), were married on May 9.
The video, which was filmed six months ago, was shown at the reception at the Broadhaven Bay Hotel, Belmullet, to the applause and laughter of their guests.
Jonny and Shelly gave a camerman full editing permission, and the day of the wedding was the first time the couple had seen the footage.
The video shows Jonny donning a blonde wig and floor length dress, while Shelly sports an Elvis-type wig and wears a suit.
In the hilarious six-minute video the couple are pitted against each other in various tasks, such as eating chocolate biscuits as fast as they can, peeling potatoes and ‘egg roulette’, which sees the couple smash eggs on their foreheads without knowing whether the eggs are hardboiled or not.
Each table at the wedding was allowed to vote for red or black before each game was played with red representing Jonny and black for Shelly. Tables were eliminated after each round if they guessed wrong, and the last table standing won a round of drinks.
The video has attracted nearly 33,000 YouTube hits since its upload the day after the wedding.
