Taoiseach’s Mass appeal in New York

TAOISEACH Enda Kenny certainly had someone praying for him yesterday morning in St Patrick’s Cathedral New York, even though when he met Mulranny nonagenarian, Annie Grealis, there was little time to talk politics after 8.30am Mass.
The 92-year-old, who ‘is a great woman for politics and loves Enda’, according to sources, was out visiting her daughter Margaret Klein, who has lived in the Big Apple for four decades. While Annie has visited on a number of occasions, this was her first trip for St Patrick’s Day. She flew out from Dublin last Saturday with her son and daughter-in-law, Gerry and Angela Grealis and her granddaughter Susan.
Whether the regular Mayo News reader prayed for the end of austerity and a miraculous economic recovery is off-the-record and is between herself and the man above.
