Flybe’s 100,000th passenger at Ireland West Knock Airport receives free flights and tickets to a Manchester Utd match
Free flights and Man U tickets for lucky Knock flyer
Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, celebrated its first major passenger landmark at Ireland West Airport Knock when its 100,000th passenger travelled through Ireland West Airport Knock on August 23.
To mark the occasion, the passenger, Rachel Dale, who was travelling from Knock to Manchester, was presented with two free return flights to Manchester and tickets to a Manchester United match courtesy of the airport and Flybe. The gift was presented to Mr Dale by Minister of State for Tourism and Sport Michael Ring.
Flybe launched its first route from Ireland West Airport Knock to Edinburgh back in April 2011, followed a year later by the start of the popular four-times-a-week service to its Manchester hub, where travellers have easy access to the rest of the world through many long-haul routes.
After greeting Flybe’s 100,000th passenger, Minister Ring praised Flybe’s ongoing commitment to Knock airport: “Flybe continue to provide an invaluable service to the people of the West and North West of Ireland and in particular in 2013, the year of The Gathering.”
