Ryan O’Donoghue (8)
The whole country knows what a Rolls-Royce of a footballer O’Donoghue is, and we saw plenty of his best attributes in this league finale.
He was a key cog in carving the Rossies open for a bucket-load of goal chances, as well as reminding everyone of his accuracy as he raised the game’s first orange flag and buried the penalty for Mayo’s fourth net-shaker.
Was busy in linking up attacks in the second half, and helped himself to a few scores to boot. It’s a testament to his ability that we’ve become so accustomed to seeing this sort of stuff.
