Sports enthusiasts in Mayo are being welcomed to come and try out for one of the most successful sports clubs in the county, as Breaffy Rounders host a serier of open days for the 2026 season.

Breaffy are one of the trailblazers of rounders in the country.

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, they further underscored this in Abbottstown.

Firstly, the ladies took home All-Ireland silverware in a titanic battle with Wexford's Glynn Barntown. Next, they went toe-to-toe with Erne Eagles of Cavan in the mixed final, and came up trumps then.

Now, they're looking for new recruits to help them on the next step of their journey.

There will be two open days for anyone to come along and join in. They will take place on the Castlebar Celtic astro-turf on Sunday, March 1, and Sunday, March 8, from 4 pm to 5 pm.

Attendees will learn about the game, discover a new way to get active, and have fun.
