We may be many months from the red-hot passion and throbbing excitement of the Mayo Club Football Championships, but the appetite will certainly be whetted by next week's draw for the Senior, Intermediate, and Junior competitions.
Some 45 clubs from across all three grades will be keeping an eager eye on proceedings as the battle for parish glory takes its first tentative steps.
Thankfully, we won't have to wait too much longer, as the draw for the group stages takes place on Monday, February 16.
The draw gets underway in MacHale Park at 8 pm, with the event being broadcast on Mayo GAA TV.
The Senior and Intermediate Championships will consist of four groups of four, with last season's semi-finalists (Ballina Stephenites, Knockmore, Westport, and Crossmolina Deel Rovers) being seeded into separate groups when the draw is made.
The same structure applies to the Intermediate grade. The four seeded sides will be the three semi-finalists from 2025 (Moy Davitts, Kiltane, and Ardnaree Sarsfields), as well as last season's side relegated from Senior, Ballyhaunis.
The Junior Championship will see one additional team added from the 2025 edition of the competition.
The group stages this season will consist of two groups of five and one group of four.
