Four will become two across the next two days in the Sigerson Cup as the semi finals of the higher education competition takes place. Across the two games, there are lots of Mayo representatives as a heavily stacked UL team along with a strong Mayo contingent on the University of Galway side go in search of reaching the final which is due to take place in Croke Park next Wednesday evening.

Both games are to be live streamed on TG4’s Youtube channel.

In the home of DCU, UL were due to face Queen’s University, but weather has forced that game to be moved to tomorrow evening where the clash will take place in Abbottstown at 6pm. The Limerick based students have a heavy Mayo contingent as they go up against a talented Queen’s side managed by former Tyrone All Ireland joint-manager Fergal Logan. At 8pm tonight (Thursday), UCC will host the University of Galway in The Mardyke. The hosts, who are largely made up of Cork and Kerry players, go up against a Galway side featuring four Mayo players. Former Mayo player and U-20 manager Maurice Sheridan manages the Galway based students. You can watch the clash between UCC and University of Galway here
