The last time that Mayo and Wexford locked horns came on February 25, 2008, some 6,551 days (or almost 18 years) ago.

That day, a youthful baller by the name of Sinead Cafferky from Kilmovee was showing serious promise.

Now, on February 1, 2026, she's repaid on that promise and is continuing to strut her stuff.

She only entered the fray in the 42nd minute against Wexford, but boy, did she make an impact.

Her half-volleyed goal was a thing of beauty, while she also chipped in with a point to show (as if we didn't already know) she's perfectly capable of kicking over the bar, too.

She also displayed an ability to lay off to players in better positions.

Diane O'Hora made some sensible phone calls to bring faces back into the fold, and this was certainly one of them.
