#5: Young talents put their hands up

Manager Andy Moran was not ashamed to admit it: "They're sticking it to me, these young fellas, they all want to be part of the squad."

Players like Tom Lydon (The Neale), Cathal Keaveney (Parke/Keelogues/Crimlin), Adam Barrett (Kilmaine), Eoin McGreal (Garrymore) got their chance and showed their potential. 

There were many household names missing on this early January outing, but competition brings out the best in athletes and it's encouraging to see there is fresh talent coming through.
