The news that many fans of Mayo GAA most feared came to pass when it was confirmed that Kobe
McDonald would be joining St Kilda in the AFL in 2026.

The talented protegé had lit up the Mayo Senior Championship this year and was predicted to break into the Mayo squad in the near future had he stayed in Ireland.

Belmullet Bullet secures boxing title

There may be some 6,140 kilometres between Belmullet and Dubai, but the cheers from the Erris capital could almost be heard in the UAE when Rachel Lally powered to victory over Leila Macho.

The Bullet from Belmullet is only a handful of bouts into her pro career, yet she stood with the UBO
International Super Middleweight title around her waist after her win against the Tanzanian.

Kiltimagh’s Connacht crusade ends in glory

The proud football family of Kiltimagh were smiling from ear to ear in Carrick-on-Shannon when they
secured provincial glory for the first time since 2009.

A rapid start against Aughavas paved the way for the Gilmartin Park men, with Thomas Keegan on fire
for the Mayo kings.

Now the stern challenge of Clogher Éire Óg stood between Mick Regan’s troops and a date in Croke
Park.
