With 2026 on the horizon and county sides in Mayo gearing up for what promises to be an entertaining year, excitement is brewing across the Gaelic games landscape.
However, those involved in the camogie landscape will have to wait to see if the Green and Red jersey will make an appearance at senior level for the upcoming campaign.
The Mayo News has learned that discussions are underway as to the return of the Mayo Senior Camogie side after they opted not to field in 2025.
While this year was without any representation at the top table, there was still plenty of success for some of the younger camogs in the county, as well as at club level.
The Under-14s put in exceptional performances in Trim at August's All-Ireland Under-14 Camogie Series, while the Under-16s won the All-Ireland 'C' Shield in style against Louth in April.
Westport also flew the flag with pride at club level when they secured the Rose Nixon Cup against Athenry.
In 2024, Mayo plied their trade in the All-Ireland Premier Junior Camogie Championship as well as Division Four of the National Camogie League, having made the finals in 2023.
The National League is set to get underway in mid-February.
