Without him, Ballina wouldn't be on the top in Mayo senior football. When the Stephenites started poorly, he steadied their nerves with a two-pointer. Later in the day, he was their go-to guy when the game was on the line. His awareness, to hammer a quick free to the Westport net, was sheer class. Later, his two-pointer to level the scores was a piece of art and then the final act was the rather 'easy' golden point, curling it over from close range to seal the three-in-a-row.
