Today, the Connacht Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) have confirmed the details of this weekend’s Connacht Intermediate Championship clash between Claremorris and Drumkeerin.
The Leitrim Champions were due to host the Mayo Champions last Sunday, but that meeting was postponed at the last minute.
An U-15 game club game was played out on Drumkeerin’s pitch prior to the meeting between them and Claremorris, and as a result, the referee deemed that the Drumkeerin pitch was unplayable, and that resulted in the Connacht Intermediate Quarter Final failing to go ahead.
It is worth noting that the Claremorris squad travelled to the Leitrim’s club ground, and along with travelling supporters, were left extremely disappointed when they learned of the postponement.
The refixed game has now been confirmed to take place this Sunday, October 26, with a 1 pm throw-in time set for Drumkeerin.
