34. min: Huge goal chance for Ballina's goal chance, he is completely open in front of O'Malley but he hammers the ball over the bar for a point. 

33. min: Finnbar McLaughlin with the opening score of the second half, reduces the deficit for Westport to only three points.

32. min: Luke Doherty hits one wide on the other end of the pitch.

32. min: Westport's Conal Dawson tries a big two-point free but it drops short.

31. min: The second half is underway. It doesn't look like there are any changes to the teams.

4:42 pm: Currently, the 2000 Crossmolina Deel Rovers Senior Football Championship team is honoured on the pitch of MacHale Park. 

4:41 pm: Both teams had one big goal chance but failed to hit the net and raise a green flag. Westport took 13 minutes to get onto the scoreboard. Westport's Lee Keegan and Ballina's Padraig O'Hora had to come off due to injury. Westport clawed their way back into the game and are only four points down here at half-time.

30+4 min: Evan Regan drops a two-point free short. It was a 3v3 breach by Westport and Regan decided to bring it back for two points but failed to connect properly.

30+4 min: Westport lob a high ball in but the Ballina defence deals with it.

30+3 min: Evan Regan hits a two-pointer wide, after dummying a defender.

30+1 min: Conal Dawson hits a free. Westport's tally stands at 0-5. Ballina are at 0-9.

29.min: That should've been a goal for Ballina. Niall McManamon cannot hold on to a bouncing ball, and David Tighe spins around Paddy O'Mally who was storming towards him. But Tighe only hits the outside of the post. 

26 min: Wide for Ballina, Cian Treacy.

26 min: Westport turn Ballina's Sam Callinan over but Colm Moran's effort drifts wide.

24 min: And again Westport win the kick-out and this time Rory Brickenden scores to make it 0-4 for Westport.

23.min: Westport quickly win the ball back, recycle patiently and Joe Grady gets a point. 

22.min: Westport get their second score. Finnbar Mclaughlin 

21.min: Evan Regan isn't even fully balanced and hits an excellent two-pointer from open play. Eight point lead for Ballina.

20.min: This time Colm Moran has the ball and pulls the trigger but it's wide again for Westport. 

18.min: Westport needed that score. Tunney has space on the left hand side, but his strike curls wide.

16.min: This is a  blow for bith teams, but possibly the bigger one for Westport.

15.min: Joe Grady replaces Lee Keegan for Westport and Cian Treacy comes on for Padraig O'Hora for Ballina.

13min: Padraig O'Hora and Lee Keegan are down and both need some treatment after a collision during Keegan's score. There's a stretcher car coming onto the pitch but both players refuse to be stretchered off. They're both helped by members from the backroom team.

12.min: Ballina 0-7 Westport 0-1

12.min: Who else. Lee Keegan steps up from a central position and the Mayo legend booms a one-pointer over.

11.min: 0-7 for Ballina. Evan Regan has too much space and time, curls it over.

10.min: Wide. Westport still waiting for their first score...

9.min: Lorcan Silke's effort for Westport is deflected wide. '45 for Westport. Paddy O'Malley is stepping up.

8.min: Another two-pointer for Ballina. Mike Murray 0-6 for Ballina

7.min: DENIED! Eoghan McLaughlin is suddenly open in front of the Ballina goal but too central, his shot is saved by David Clarke.

6.min: 0-4 point by Frank Iriwn. Ballina cough up Westport and turn the ball over in their half. Ballina could have gone for goal.

6. min: 0-3 for Ballina, Jack Irwin around the D, splitting the sticks
