Didn't have a whole lot of time on the MacHale Park turf, but still played a memorable part with a point and could be crucial next weekend.

Brian McDermott (7)

The corner-back took a while to get going, but steadied his balance and became a crucial part of a rigid defensive unit from there on in.

With heads gone all around him, he hit a marvelous two-pointer with the tension at its maximum in the dying minutes to hand his side an advantage when they were reeling after Ballina's goal.
