The last chapter of an epic tale is set to be written this afternoon, as the Mayo Senior Championship final gets underway in all its splendour.

On one side stand the reigning defending champions, Ballina Stephenites, gunning to go back-to-back-to-back.

Westport, on the other hand, will be looking to spoil the party, wrenching back control of the county and adding to their maiden 2022 crown.

The clash in MacHale Park is scheduled for 4 pm today (Sunday, October 19).

The game forms part of a double header, with the Mayo Senior Intermediate final between Kilmeena and Moy Davitts having thrown in at 2 pm.

Both games are being streamed live on Mayo GAA TV.

Access to the broadcast is priced at €20, with the option to stream both finals costing €35.
