Road to the final: How did Westport get to Mayo GAA senior decider?

Westport are back in the Mayo GAA Senior Championship Final.

Only three years ago, the Clew Bay men claimed their first ever senior title. Interestingly enough, their opponent that year was the same as this year's: Ballina Stephenites.

It comes as a little surprise. Westport were flying a wee bit under the radar.

Their league campaign was unimpressive, and also in the group matches, Westport didn't make huge waves.

In the quarter-final, the men in navy and sky blue managed by Pat Holmes seemed defeated and staged a historic comeback.
