The President of the GAA, Jarlath Burns, will touch down for an important day in the history of Tooreen GAA club as they further develop their facilities in East Mayo.
The club will be 24 hours out from their mammoth County Hurling Championship final against Ballyhaunis, but they have the 'small' matter of officially opening their new facilities on Saturday afternoon.
The astroturf and hurling wall at Adrian Freeman Memorial Park stands as a testament to the hard work put in by volunteers in the club, and will be the pride of all those in the parish when it is officially opened by an Uachtarán, Jarlath Burns.
The event will get underway at 12.30 pm on Saturday, October 11, and all are welcome to attend.
